Weekly Market Highlights #45: May 1 - May 7✨Meme coins, led by PEPE, dominated the crypto market in the first week of May 2023. The coin meme craze has pushed Ethereum transaction fees to a 2-year high, causing the amount of ETH burned to skyrocket.

✨With the results predicted in advance, the news of interest rate adjustment from the US did not have much impact on the market.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased ~$15B (from ~$1,176B to ~$1,161B) of its total capitalization.

*✨BTC Struggles With $29K*✅After the unfavorable start of the week, which saw BTC slumping to under $27,8K, the asset began its recovery almost immediately and spiked to $29K by Thursday.

✅The cryptocurrency went on a roll on Saturday morning, which drove it to $29,9K. The bears stepped up and pushed BTC south as the bulls prepared to take up the coveted $30K line.

✅As a result, BTC dropped by over $1,5K in hours, fell to a daily low of $28,3K, and currently stands at around $28,5K.

✅Its market capitalization has slid to $546B, but its Dominance over the altcoins has increased slightly to 47.1% on CoinMarketCap.

*✨It's PEPE's Show*✅BSCS is trading at $0,01232, 0,54% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,01225.

✅The past few weeks belong to the new craze in the crypto and meme coin space, led by PEPE. Last week, PEPE became the 45th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The latest massive pump came after it was listed on Binance alongside FLOKI.

✅Most larger-cap altcoins are in a less favorable position, though. ETH is down by over 2.5% in the past 24 hours and is close to breaking below $1,9K. BNB, XRP, ADA, DOGE, MATIC, SOL, DOT, TRX, and LTC are also red.

✅SHIB has declined the most from the larger-cap alts, being down by 9.8%
