“What sort of phenomenon is the activity of every generation on this earth, which while it lasts seems so eternal until it fades forever? What is the phenomenon, this human activity that constantly contradicts itself, constantly builds with great labor, even on streams of human blood, like cement, and yet constantly destroys its own work with the same enthusiasm and the same shedding of blood? The earth is a vale of exile, a vale of constant disorder and confusion, of unbroken suffering of creatures who have lost their primordial dignity and home, bereft of their good sense. People suffer in countless ways in this dark and deep vale! They suffer under the yoke of poverty and in the excess of riches. They suffer in miserable hovels and in glorious, kingly palaces. They suffer from external misfortunes and from that horrible disorder that has corrupted the nature of every person, that has stricken both his soul and his body, that has perverted and blinded the mind”
St. Ignatius Brianchaninov, The Refuge, pg. 80-81.

Introduction from the video: Since the early 20th century, especially, we Orthodox Christians have witnessed many of those who are called to be Ecclesiastical leaders submit the "Church" to various governments and worldly agendas. There is the "green environmental gospel", the "gospel of world peace", of human rights, of communism, of Cov..ism, the heretical gospel of "Christian unity" via Ecumenism, etc. etc. - all, although unrelated to the issue of salvation, which aim to "create a better, safer, happier, and more just world".

These types of worldly "gospels", although being pre-condemned by the Holy Apostle Paul who thunders: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be anathema", have even received "synodal" approval both in the "Mission" document of the pseudo-synod of Crete (2016) and in documents of the Moscow Patriarchate - all of which declared that the Church now, suddenly at the end of the ages(!), has a "social mission"!

Thus, while jointly working together with heretics, Jews, Muslims, and pagans of various sorts, these "leaders", instead of striving to bring the true Gospel of salvation to such people, preach a new gospel manifested by their mission of "making the world a better place."

They forget the revelation of St. Seraphim of Sarov that: "Everything that ... belongs to ‘the party for the betterment of life’ is genuine anti-Christianity."

They forget that the only "Christ" who will give them all that they seek will be the approaching Antichrist!

Vladyka Averky, in the video below, reveals to us how we are to understand such apostatic perversions!

The Church does not serve the World!

“The mind that deviates from the truth is false and God is not pleased with it. Those who dwell in such reason fall into evil-minded actions and come under the authority of the father of lies – the devil – and become scattered into various heresies. But the one who seeks a true and righteous mind, such a one will strive for the Lord and acquire Him. For no one may ever acquire Him except through a true and upright mind.” St. Dimitry of Rostov
