The drought and extreme heat we have had for the region this summer was hard on them, they were very skinny.
Hopefully they will survive.
Memory Lane
Henlo frens, I’m Morri, and this is my story.
I was bought from Tractor Supply Company from a good family. I was mishandled by a little girl, who didn’t know any better; she was only 5, so still a baby herself. She dropped me, thought I was dead, and threw me in the trash :( Well, surprise, I wasn’t dead, just badly hurt. I was taken to the vet, got cleared, but no one wanted me after that. Phone calls were made, and my Chiggin mama found it deep in her hearts of heart to take me in, boy am I glad she did. I was immediately introduced to my new little sisters that were just hatched a week or so after I was, and we became a family. They were so nice to me and didn’t peck at me even though my little leg was injured. My leg was so swollen and purple. It just kept getting worse and worse; chiggin mama never gave up on me. I had rounds of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, it still didn’t work, at this point Chiggin mama was crying and felt defeated. She was giving me cbd oil to help with the pain, finally mama said this was enough, she couldn’t take it anymore. She started soaking my leg in Epsom salt 3 times a day for a week. Within 2 days the redness starting going away. I was still limping (which was a huge improvement) because before I couldn’t move at all. She continued the epsom salt soaks and cbd oil, and before you know it, I’m hopping and jumping around with my sisters. I’m so good, I’m growing and I’m happy.
